350 Merrydale was originally proposed as a townhouse project. After the entitlements experienced, the County and City of San Rafael have been partnering to on two projects at 350 Merrydale Road – providing short term interim housing for 65 individuals through a tiny home community, then establishing permanent affordable housing units in the long term. The interim housing will make use of the land while the 100% affordable housing project goes through predevelopment work. The affordable housing project will be for at least 80 units.
