Marin County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved The Oaks Senior Living Community housing project in December 2018. The project originally included plans for 126 units of housing, including five affordable units all for seniors in Marin. However, as of August 2025 there was a proposed amendment to increase the number of apartments by 27 for a total of 153 apartments. The project under the amendment will continue to have five affordable units. This project will be built on 9.6 acres in Marinwood, and is currently under construction.
