56 total units, 56 affordable units

The City of San Rafael has selected an affordable housing developer for a city owned property located at 519 4th Street. This site is in a prime location, within San Rafael’s walkable downtown, two blocks from San Rafael’s Transit Center, and near multiple grocery stores and education facilities. Publicly-owned land presents some of the best opportunities for deeply affordable units. The project will be 56 units of 100% affordable housing for very low-income and extremely low-income households, with 50% of units designated for formerly homeless individuals. The project includes onsite supportive services: mental healthcare, job assistance, and substance abuse treatment. This is a city owned property.
