Call Marin Home board member: Susan Cleveland-Knowles

Susan Cleveland-Knowles has an established career in public service, including in
Marin County and San Francisco. Susan served on the Sausalito City Council from
2017 to 2022, including as Mayor in 2020. And, she was on the Sausalito Planning
Commission for four years prior to that. She has a strong interest in housing and
served on the past three Sausalito Housing Element committees starting in 2012.
In her professional life, she has worked for the San Francisco City Attorney’s
Office for over 25 years as an attorney specializing in land use and transportation.
She currently serves as General Counsel to the San Francisco Municipal
Transportation Agency. Susan earned her J.D. from Stanford University and B.S.
from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She lives in Sausalito
with her husband.
