350 Merrydale was originally proposed as a townhouse project. After the entitlements expired, the County and City of San Rafael have been partnering together on two projects at 350 Merrydale Road, providing short term interim housing for 65 individuals through a tiny home community, then establishing permanent affordable housing units in the long term. The interim housing will make use of the land while the 100% affordable housing project goes through predevelopment work. The affordable housing project will be for at least 80 units.
