This project proposes the rehabilitation and revitalization of Golden Gate Village, an existing public housing community in Marin City. The project is being carried out in three phases, with Phase 1 covering the first 88 units. Burbank Housing was selected as the developer partner following an RFQ process, and the Marin Housing Authority Board of Commissioners approved an Exclusive Right to Negotiate Agreement at its April 23, 2024 meeting (signed May 10, 2024) to begin predevelopment and planning. A Master Development Agreement between MHA and Burbank Housing was subsequently approved by the Board of Commissioners on June 17, 2025, and on August 5, 2025 the project was awarded California Low-Income Housing Tax Credits needed to fund the Phase 1 renovation, clearing the way for construction to begin
